Design and supervision of repair of the impact-damaged plate girder with length of about 28 m. The steps of the repair are briefly as follows:

• Construction of temporary piers
• Damage assessment of all of the girder plates and connections
• Straightening the bottom flange and web plates with heat and the help of jacks
• Cutting out the full damaged sections of the bottom flange and web stiffeners
• Welding the new steel sections in place
• Painting and finishing operation
